Aruba transportation: Car rentals, Taxis, Buses & Shuttles
Taxis
Taxis are available at the terminal at the airport. Depending on where you are going, the rate will be $10 to $25. If you are not renting a car and are traveling with a lot of luggage or your hotel stop requires bus transfers, a taxi may be the best way to start off your vacation.
Buses
Aruba has a public bus service Arubus that stops regularly at the airport and runs to locations all around Aruba. Bus fares are very inexpensive; a one-way ticket costs only $1.25. Visit www.arubus.com for bus schedules.
Aruba Airport Shuttles
Several hotels in Aruba provide airport to hotel shuttles. If your hotel offers this and you are not planning on renting a car during your trip, this is a great way to get from the airport to your hotel; no fussing with bus transfers or baggage without having to pay taxi fare!
Aruba Car Rentals
The airport in Aruba has plenty of rental car companies to choose from. There is no need for a special Aruba driver’s license; your regular driver’s license or international driver’s license will suffice, as long as you have had it for more than two years. |
